We source candidates with suitable qualifications and experience, interview those who meet your requirements, and provide you with a shortlist of the very best.
How do we source candidates?
Initially we utilise our database of over 4000 H&S professionals and our network of personal contacts in the industry. With your approval we will also advertise your vacancy on our website and on other sites we regularly use. When necessary we will also advertise in print in the various trade journals.
What then?
Having interviewed the best applicants on your behalf and drawn up a shortlist of those who are genuinely suitable for and interested in your vacancy, we will send you not only their CVs but also a Candidate Summary. This contains all the information that a CV doesnt normally give you - why they want to leave their current job, why they want to work for you, availability for interview, what notice period they need to give, and why we think they may be a suitable addition to your company.
And then?
Once you have decided which of the people on our shortlist you wish to interview, we will liaise between you and the applicants and facilitate the interview process as required. Once an offer has been made we will remain the liaison between you and your chosen applicant, ensuring that both parties are totally happy with the offer, terms of employment and the contract. We will also remain in close contact with you and your new employee during the difficult period leading up to the actual commencement day. Our commitment to our clients and candidates does not stop once the position has been filled and the invoice paid - we are available for advice and support on an ongoing basis.
Candidate Screening
· Interview all candidates are comprehensively interviewed by New Level Recruitment prior to submission. During this process we explore their previous work and educational history, motivations and aspirations, reliability, suitability for the role in question, etc.
· Reference checks - two confidential professional references from the candidate's 2 most recent employers are requested. Where necessary we will obtain references from other previous employers as well.
· Proof of Identity and Right to Work in the UK
· Proof of Qualifications.
· Confirmation of Professional Body membership.
Contingency or Search & Select?
Generally speaking, for junior to mid level positions, a Contingency service is sufficient for the needs of many of our clients. No fee is payable until the day our candidate starts working for you. In the unlikely event that things don't work out, a staggered fee rebate period of 8 weeks applies.
For more senior, confidential or highly specialised positions, a Search & Select service can be more effective. Helen Murphy, our dedicated Search & Select consultant, will be happy to discuss this option with you on request.
How much do we charge?
Our charges for contingency permanent recruitment are based on a percentage of the starting salary of the successful applicant, as follows:
Up to £20,000 15%
£20,001 - £35,000 18%
£35,001 upwards 20%
